Chestnut brown colour, with a lightly bubbly head. Nose is extremely fruity - apples, plums and bananas all noticeable, and more obvious as the beer warms. In the mouth it is malty, with caramel, toffee and dark fruit flavours, plus a roasty, grainy touch. Finish is of bitter, crunchy roast malt and a touch of flowery hop. A well-balanced and fairly complex ale. 5.0%abv, 500ml x 12
