Pros: LOTS of well-constructed brainteasers, charming story, pick-up-and-playable, good production values
Cons: you will get stuck at some point, some won't like puzzles in any format
The Bottom Line: If brainteasers sound like your cup of tea, Professor Layton should be worth your while.

Pros: Mind challenging for any puzzle addict. Regular updates.
Cons: Can be quite puzzling to figure out some puzzles, and harder for younger children.
The Bottom Line: My final recommendation, buy this game if you are a puzzle addict. With the game updates and hundreds of puzzles this game is well worth the money.
